At our core, our organization is dedicated to providing seasonal or one-time assistance to families experiencing hardship due to unexpected or uncontrollable circumstances. While we are honored to be there during these critical moments, we do not offer ongoing support for daily living needs such as transportation, household bills, or long-term financial assistance.

However, we never want anyone in our community to feel alone or unsure of where to turn. Below is a list of trusted local organizations and agencies throughout Lockport and Will County that may be able to help with needs beyond our scope — including housing, utilities, food support, transportation concerns, mental health services, and more.

If you or someone you know is facing hardship, United Way of Will County is an excellent first point of contact. They connect residents with local resources for food, housing, utilities, medical care, financial assistance, and more through their 24/7 helpline (2-1-1). One call can match you with reliable community services based on your situation.

Lockport Resident Resources

Lockport Township General Assistance Office - Emergency Assistance is financial aid granted to qualified individuals and families

Bridge Financial Assistance- Lockport Resource Center application for general assistance

Diaper Distribution Network- Pick up a free baby bundle package once every 30 days

Lockport Senior Programs- Transportation, housing, meals, and services for senior residents.

Lockport Medical Closet- Residents may borrow medical equipment on a temporary basis.

Salvation Army- Lockport is an extension unit for individual and emergency services. Assistance provides can include rent, basic needs, transportation, etc.

Mental Health Care- Provided to residents at little or no cost. talk therapy, psychiatry, and medication management services
